Identify this gearbox?

Can anyone identify what type of gearbox that this may be?

The engine up front is supposed to be a 3.6 litre Isuzu - which engine would it be, or could it be a 4BD1?

Engine looks like a 4BE1. Some of them came with a weird inlet manifold like that:

NA, but about the same power and torque as a 4BD1T - but higher in the rev range. Same bolt pattern too.

AFAIK all Isuzu truck boxes are cable-change. Hard to tell 100%, but pretty sure it's an LT95.

Thanks IsuzuR... yes I thought that the selector top reminds me of the LT95 as fitted to the 101" fc but the CO thinks that it is a 5 speed.

It would have been built with the Isuzu somewhere after the 1980s as it had a Range Rover 3.5/LT95 till then.

If not LT95 could it be LT85 (Santana) or did earlier Isuzu g/b use replicator linkages ?

Gearbox is a LT95 and the pivot point for the gearshift above the gearbox looks like the one used in a 101 landy.
The Chassis is straight rail like a 101 as well.

Ron

Thats the upper chassis rail on the S2B. This is the vehicle built by Vic Jaeger from the LROCV currently on ebay.

Interesting hybrid, there is quite an album of pics, the Range Rover coils would make for a much more comfortable ride.

I think that you are correct, the more I look the more I'm convinced its a LT95.

Just checked my LT95 in my 101 - yep is a match - a couple of slight differences but the casting on the top where the gear lever goes in and the other castings further to the rear are the same - so is a LT95.
