I'd say the genuine ones are best. I just had a look as I have a few in the garage to see who makes them but I cant see it anywhere. They are made in the UK tho. (says on the bag)

Looks like the ZF Lemforder ones could be the OE ones ?

Anyway, made by ZF in Europe should be OK.
In the heyday of Jaguars the biggest selling items was front suspension ball joints and tie rod ends. The originals were greasable. Then Jaguar changed both the ball joints and tie rods ends to Lemforder which are a sealed unit. The sales after a few years were non existant, the Lemforder ones would just not wear out.
From my experience Lemforder are the best quality and not that expensive.

My experience is that non-greasable tie rod ends last until the boot is damaged - for example one of the protected ones on my 2a is, I suspect (from the number of layers of khaki paint) the original. I have never known a Landrover tie rod end to fail with the boot intact, but I suppose some must. So the quality of the rubber is probably the most important thing!

I had a cheapy die with the boot intact in under a year, and it was a low km year.
