    I read this method somewhere.
Take off the pipe that leads to the rad cooler for the trans.
Have a mate start the engine and pour/pump 1 litre into a bottle.
Stop and top up the trans.
    And so on.

After an overheating event I took my ZF to be checked by one of my mechanics. The car was then taken to another auto transmission specialist who has a machine that aspirates the fluid from the box including the torque converter. It even has a screen to catch any contaminates for examination.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

A lot of the franchise places do transmission flushes. I'd be wary myself [citation needed]

I know that it is not possible to drain the fluid from converter and I'm not sure that you can get all the fluid from the converter, but it is easy to see if you have some or a lot of the fluid from the converter just by the volume.

What I can do is get as much info as I can for you, won't be till next week because of the LWE.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
