Who has had a dyno run on their LR?

I had a Haltech Interceptor installed in the P38A by Graeme Cooper's on Friday and the vehicle was dynoed to tune it up.

The results were disappointing in comparison to the results obtained by Remy, especially considering my engine has had a fair bit spent on it to improve power, i.e., HC pistons, new cam, worked heads, ported, valves de-shrouded, full balance, etc. This work was only done 15,000km ago so the engine isn't worn out.

Mine is about 20kw down on power cf. Remy's P38A. Mine is very flat in HP - not peaky at all.

Who else has had their vehicle dynoed and has results I can look at. I'm plotting Remy's and my results onto an Excel spreadsheet for comparison purposes. They can't be directly compared owing to different scaling on the graphs.

If I can get some other graphs, I'll plot them as well.

These are mine, before and after for LPG and Petrol:

Are the results from the same Dyno? same day? Ambient air temp and humidity? tyre size and type?..............if not, then comparing figures is aimless

Its all about seat of your pants

A dyno is a tuning tool

Same dyno. Same gear. Same type of car. Same calibration date. Same type of ECU upgrade, both Haltech Interceptors.

Months apart and 25kw difference.

I'm thing of doing the same thing! Not that I'd do anything illegal!

72hp is only 54kW.

Maybe you should fit some new cats.

Ron.

Is it illegal to make custom home made high flow cats? i didnt know that

The other option, you can pick up cheap highflow cats 2-2.5in diameter magnaflow brad for about 120 each, i was goin to be getting some from a guy who sells on another forum, he has an online store, tuffcarparts.com.au i think it was...
