    Gear box input bearing?

Isn't it just typical when your about to trade out of a vehicle something major craps its self

Just about to trade up my old MJ Triton over the next few weeks. Depending what I purchase next the trade will be 4 to 6k so not real keen on putting 2.5k (Quote for a reco + fitting)into it now Looks like I may have to pull it out here and try to stick a band aid on it, ie only replace the knacked bearing and stick it back together. Take me at least two days to do it here.

Now looking for a secondhand box but are scarce.

Make changes interesting Was thinking self leveling grease and take the muffler out of the exhaust+drill a small hole near the Turbo Then super glue the CD player on at around 70db

    That should stop the growl

Got the new bearings yesterday so got into it today. Just got to get the stupid C clip back onto the main shaft now and all is good.

The original input bearing was sealed No wonder they starve for oil. Got me buggered how it lasted this long actually.

The spigot was so shot I had to use the oxy to get the remains of it out

My wife did mention a wile back it was hard to get into gear and has since developed a clutch shudder. Then the noise It gave plenty of warning.

Ha... Just found an old input shaft out of my old 82 model L200. Same size Makes it easy now.
Any one wanna give me a hand to shove the box back in Should only take three beers to do it
I'm going to give it a go now on my own but will be awkward as don't have a tranny lifter here.
