Did you try Cequent Australia (the owner of Tekonsha)
I bought a Disco 3 about 8 mths ago. Parramatta Land Rover advised me to put a Prodigy 90185 system in my car as I needed to tow a 3 tonne trailer and boat. I recently had to take trailer back to Dunbier to have some modifications done and they told me the prodigy wasn't working. Lights and unit under dash were but no breaking. I have now put my boat in at Rosebay because I refuse to drive around and said to the service dept at Parramatta Land Rover please fix it. They have just told me that they have never heard of this problem before and there isn't a Tekonsha rep in Australia !!!!! What do i do ? I need this system working Has anyone had the same problem if so please respond Land Rover need to know that I'm not the only one.

I have one of these units - on a D1 - and if the brakes aren't connected or the coils faulty an error message flashes and tells you about it.
You say it lights up and the unit under the dash (..works ) but no breaking force (presumably).
That leaves the trailer as the main suspect. Time to find someone else's trailer that does work, and see if the Prodigy can control that. If it doesn't then either the wiring is setup wrong ( who actually did the install?) or the unit is indeed faulty and it's time to refer to the tekonsha warranty card.
Tekonsha offer a fault finding service on their website.

This is not an unknown problem with caravan brakes. In many cases, it is caused by the (split) pin in the trailer plug closing a bit and not making good contact with the vehicle plug. I don't know if this is your problem or not, but it is worth checking by using a very fine blade to just open the brake pin slightly and clean both the vehicle plug and the trailer plug. It has fixed several similar cases and may fix yours. Good luck.
