I'm half way there!
Started off as a tub only, then I picked up a roof.
Power is going in shortly and I have a free poptop setup if I can make it fit on, problem is I've shortened the roof so don't think it's going to fit straight on.
Already has a full TV antenna mount, detachable sink and I just need to mount a belly tank then build a new ally chassis to counter the added weight, shorten the axle so the wheels fit back under the guards as it had a Hilux tray on it before and also to accommodate electric disc brakes.... all one day when I have nothing else to do on the RRC or the D2.....
Planning to drive over for Bathurst next year so I have permission to spend!!

I have checked with Qld transport and they dont have a problem with it providing the diff yoke is covered if not in use eg tailshaft fitted to it, it can not be left spinning. to me it seens a bit funny but thats the rules they say.

any one built a trailer out of s3 body work, ( i know some have)
any one got plans or ideas about how they did there chassis??
Not yet, but been planning to for some time! Interested in all ideas. My "idea" contribution so far is to add the back end of a second body to the front of the tub to provide a drop down tailgate at both ends for long loads.
Chassis at the moment is planned to be wider than the Landrover chassis so the springs are under it rather than on outriggers like the 109. Body will be supported on the rails and attached to crossmembers front and back.

here's some pics of mine.
chassis is 3 mm gal.
the body can be unbolted and popped back onto a series III as it has not been modified in any way.
the balance is perfect with about two kilo's on the ball, even with a full load of soil or firewood.
from drawbar to axle centre is 100 inches, track is same as disco.
