    Towing Mirrors

Can anyone here recommend a good towing mirror. I currently have these

Easy FIT Towing Mirrors Pair 4WD 4x4 Caravan Trailer | eBay

and they are biggest piece of poo I have come across.

As soon as I get to any speed above about 75 kph the wind blows them out of adjustment.

On the week end towing my caravan. on two occasions a semi going the other way blew the mirror into the door. It only happened twice because I was mostly on divided freeway.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    Hi
Give me a call on the mobile (0419 567 460) I have a good bonnet mounted set up that is no longer required. Its yours if you want it. Worked well on My D2 and was quick to fit. The vision was good and little vibration. We Used it twice and worked perfect

All you will have to do is arrange to pick it up from Brookfield near Melton Vic.

Was just about to put it on E-bay.

Andrew, by bonnet mount, are these the ones where you have a full bar that goes across the bonnet?

Liam, is this what you got.

Milenco Aero 2 Mirror | Milenco Limited | Caravan Products | Caravan Security | UK

If it is, when I first looked at them I thought these will be no better than the ones I have, but their youtube does show them to be ok.

After what I have put up with and seeing them, I would not have purchased them, but I am hoping that they are as good as they claim. Having a guinea pig (you) to test them, and if your report is good I will grab a pair.

    Here's hoping.

    PS. What did they cost?

Liam. I don't want ones as wide as yours, so if yours work ok the not as wide ones shroud be even better.

Gary, which ones have you got, the standard width or the XXL?

short work with a hacksaw to make them smaller... did not spot the xxl bit until after purchase, they are adjustable.

Milenco mirrors are great, I have them on my D4 and rate them highly.
I've done a few trips with them, including a trip from Victoria to Queensland and they didn't fail me.
If you get a set, wash the rubber pads on the mounting clamps with warm soapy water to remove the residue that protects the rubber to insure they fasten to the vehicles mirrors.

    All the best
    Scott
