Cheers Dean.
Define "swearing", "sexual harrassment" etc which are also not allowed on this site. It's generally up to the Mods to decide what goes over the line.

However I'd say it's relatively easy to come up with a "guideline" based on the Codes of Conduct that Gav posted above.

In a lot of videos you can clearly see an alternate track.

I want the tracks to stay open, so I can access the bush for touring and camping.

Bad publicity will just result in more being closed. Does this site want to be part of that ?

totally agree with wayne.

good point to bring this up gav.

JTBD

Why dont we just make it a no vids showing off track use unless the opening credits include a location that indicates that its in a dedicated off track area? (think "this was filmed on uncle jim bobs back paddock"?

i agree we dont need to post them sort of vids on the site
only because of the anti 4wd mobs getting hold of them

we used to have the rule of no destructive vids online only those on private property
cd's are cheap to buy why not make copys and post them to each of the members taking part on the day

i know i have a few here that have been done over the years........

just a thought for next time guys

I would ask who and how is this dogooder just a thought idea is going to be enforced

For starters your not going to say that you have never spun the wheels or used too much of the loud pedal in the bush , are you or any one else on here at some time or another

And what is classed as hooning in your eyes more than one attempt at something ,or having a noisey exhaust

I would say we all know what hooning is , driving too fast doing burnouts donuts ect
You know and as most people who drive four wheel drive,s know that some times a little more momentum is needed to drive something

I have a rule try something 2 times if it is undrivable , winch snatch or turn around

I could of got vid,s of this type of person last week that would have shown what i class as a idiot jacked up turbo missan oh no on big tyres as well straight out exhaust , he was attempting a hill just out of a bog hole
We could hear him before we got there i would say 10 minutes and once we arrived there he was still trying for another 10 minutes cause he had a audience
Well we just drove past this idiot , all in the group saying what a idiot causing all that damage , no one said anything about hooning just a idiot

This is a fine line issue, make no bones about that.
Gav raises a valid point re the videos but it could go much further than that & thats proly where this threads headed.
I think most ppl like a bit of a challenge but not many want 2 c the bush torn up badly. It all comes down 2 the indivdual & there attitudes. Education is always good , but lets not take the fun out of it either.
Gavs original post was about vids so I spose its up 2 the mods 2 do their job.
Cheers Dean.

Well taking your thoughts to the next logical conclusion, we should ban all modified 4wds as they are no longer built to the manufacturers specifications and all highly modified 4wds with higher suspension and bigger tryes are usually the ones who want a bigger challenge of tougher tracks and mud and who go and tear up sections of track to such an extent that standard built 4wd can't pass anymore.

If you keep all vehicles standard this will reduce the hoon ability to do off road stuff on video that is detrimental to pure pleasure of driving an off road vehicle down a fire trail in a National Park

Common sense should be the judge..

For starters your not going to say that you have never spun the wheels or used too much of the loud pedal in the bush , are you or any one else on here at some time or another
Me ??? Never Or there is no vids on this site of me doing it.
And what is classed as hooning in your eyes more than one attempt at something ,or having a noisey exhaust
No..
I would say we all know what hooning is , driving too fast doing burnouts donuts etc
Exactly..
You know and as most people who drive four wheel drive,s know that some times a little more momentum is needed to drive something
So true..
I have a rule try something 2 times if it is undrivable , winch snatch or turn around
Are we related..
I could of got vid,s of this type of person last week that would have shown what i class as a idiot jacked up turbo missan oh no on big tyres as well straight out exhaust , he was attempting a hill just out of a bog hole

Hoons are idiots..
Chris, as I said before I have nothing against vids, it's just the incriminating ones..
Like yourself, I don't want to see tracks closed as so many have been around the Yarra Ranges National Park and other parks. All the "Friends of" groups seize every opportunity they can get to substantiate their cause.
If everyone abided by the Memorandum of Cooperation between Four Wheel Drive Victoria, Parks Victoria & DSE it would be beneficial to all wouldn't you agree??.
