Have a good trip. I am not far off your route to Bourke, but I will probably be picking up my brother off a bus in Wellington on that day, and if you are doing Bourke in one day, meeting up does not seem feasible.

Don't forget to set you clocks back 10 years as you enter Queensland and another 5 years when you cross the border to the Territory

...or is that one hour and then another half hour

...just think in another 15 years we will have all the problems the southern states presently have

Safe trip see you in 10 days time
