Colonel Colemans Campertrailer Capability Campout 22-23/11

November 22-23

OK all I am leading a trip down to Sundown National Park near Ballandean for a 2 day tour. It is open to all that want to join and meet up.

Coming from SEQ we will meet near the McD's at Beaudesert at 0630 for a 0700 Start.

I plan to lead a rolling tour down to Rathdowney, and through the back dirt roads up to White Swamp and down the Condamine River Road to Killarney. Then down the Mt Lindsay (more dirt) and the back way into Stanthorpe. From there to Ballendean and into the park. Check out Red Rock Gorge on the way in and camp at Burrows Waterhole.

The next day after breakfast, down to Rat's Castle. up a creek bed drive, and a few of the more adventurous tracks on the way out for those that are game. Out of the park after lunch, back up to Warwick, and home to Brisbane.

Have spoken to Peter the ranger and camper trailers are fine, as well as some of the lesser known tracks that are not official.

The idea of the trip is a short weekend away, but also to give an idea to some of the touring style trip that the Cape trip will be, and what your rig will be like in the rough stuff, as well as convoy procedures.

All comers welcome, even if you are not doing the Cape trip, and if you want to come from NSW we can meet you on Route somewhere.

Post up your interest.

CC

Not a snowball's chance of making it

Hope you all have a good weekend.

I'm hoping I can do several weekend trips with the trailer in the coming months. Just have to see how things go.

Don't forget to post pictures when the weekend is over

Hmmm, can't you just go AWOL with it for a real test of its capabilities??

Glad to hear the Fender is OK! No overheating damage?
