Adjustable work light mount D1, D2 and Defender

Ended up making one quickly at the weekend so have decided to maybe look at making a few.

I can make them so they will fit D1's, D2's (either inverted or original wheel carrier orientation) and Defender. (need to double check D1 still)

On a D2 they replace the spacer that fits between the door and and the wheel carrier on the right hand side. On a Defender it would be supplied with a matching spacer for the other side.

Any interest? Can either do them as a basic frame work only or with switch, light and wiring.

Wll be powder coated I think, although other finishes could also be available if required

No prices yet but obviously would be provided before anyone who expresses an interest was tied in!

Will leave this to run until we return from our trip at the start of Sepetember and go from there.

Rgds
Pete

I'm interested for a Disco1 with standard wheel carrier. Just basic, no wiring etc.

Will wait for prices etc though of course.

Hey everybody,

Stuuu, cool will let you know when Ive worked it all out.

Lou, Still working on switch options and light options, and they will all be decided upon before I finalise the design. Does your Defender have the holes for the rear mounted spare wheel carrier on the door. If so it should fit. (Its the same rear door since 2002) Clearance on your existing wheel carrier would need to be checked though. maybe a pic?

Utemad, cool, give me till we get back and I will get some more details

Just out interest, if I was to offer the option of a complete unit would people want a round or rectangular light?

Price should be a lot lower than any off the shelf option... (I hope)

Cheers
Pete

rectangular light for sure much much cooler.......I say though I have personally been eyeing up the hella HID light on ebay. I dont know if its any good but. bit pricey though around $125.

as for the puma carrier no it has a plate behind the carrier where it meets the door if thats what you mean!

Hey Ron,

Do me a sketch and I can get you something cut out and weld it up easily enough.

Count me in for a complete set up in black for a D1.
Prefer rectangular light but not essential.
Good work and thanks for thinking of us.
