Well my engine does not leak either but last week I found my bottle jack making a nice little pool of oil near the front drivers side wheel. Does that count as an official oil leak?

I guess you will be known as 'Squire Tim' from now on. Good luck with the build.

Better 600m2 of your own than renting thou.
Goodluck for the house building process.
Look at TR transportable homes.
Cheaper than building,it all turns up and gets fitted together.Mates got one and Im real impressed with it.I would go this way in the future if we bought a block.
ENJOY
Andrew
Hi Andrew, 600m2 isn't huge by those standards! But considering about 80% of my neighbours in Ellenbrook will be shoe horning houses on to 350-500m2 blocks its not too bad.

Thanks Mike, I'm building a double garage with a attached 4 bedroom house. The back yard will be 17m wide x 13m deep, so there is plenty of scope there for more sheds!

Thanks Ferret, that leak will do fine, I'm starting to get concerned about all these LR's that aren't leaking oil, its just not right Squire Tim's fine, I've been called much worse!!

Cheers,

Tim

Yes ... unfortunately the Bylaws of the R codes, state, that you can only have 50% of the street frontage occupied with the garage width / opening

The developer in Ellenbrook, LWP, bring this to a whole new level. You can't have a continious garage door more than 2 bays wide. They have a whole host of restrictions to abide by, for example I have to have part of the front of my house as a feature, ie not face brick. You're not even allowed to have a satellite dish on the roof!

I'm building the garage so I can drive straigh through it to get to the back yard, so if I decide to build a shed I can still get to it. I'll put a 2m wide roller door in the back wall.

On a different note I was hoping to put a solar system in, but the govenment just axed the rebate scheme last week I'll have to see wheather their new "credit" scheme they are implementing will make it worth while. I don't understand this government, lets give everyone $900 to spend a Harvey N0rman and axe a rebate that is going to have a much better long term benefit. Idiots.

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Grover, fortunately I'm past this stage now There wasn't too much back and forth setbacks as the builder I am using seems to know what to do to keep the developer and shire happy. I only had to get the plans redone once due to the "feature wall" I mentioned in the above post.

Cheers,

Tim

Don't mock me just because I'm different

I can jury rig a bottle of oil with a section of breather tube under the bonnet, should leave a convincing puddle
