How did I miss this one?

It did, but earlier yesterday it had this report, however due to a few tech difficulties with photobucket it was off for the day until the evening.

Again a brilliant trip organized by beefy.

Early incidents.

Mike (hibees) and I have an unwitten rule that what one does the other has to follow. So I eye spied a puddle that on the lifted D2 was washing over the bonnet. Mike in his stock D1 V8
followed, and half way through there was a bang from under the water, followed by a coughing V8. This was him upon exit.

After we all stopped laughing and the water had finished draining from the car, it appears that he might have slightly bent a steering arm, not to mention the new look number plate. Undeterred, he carried on.
I'll certainly think twice about following you through bog holes in the future mate....and where did that log pop up from fortunately only a slightly bent track rod after the hidden "log" incident. The number plate has been lovingly bashed back into a flattish state and re-attached to the car and i'll be looking around for a track rod - does anyone have a spare for a D1 V8 1997? We all enjoyed the day and it was good to meet a few new faces. Thanks to Keith for organising. Cheers Mike.

Your very lucky thats all that went wrong ... Those bog holes all have had 35" tyres go through them ... so the trenches can be deep

Well done all ... Good practice for the August trip down South

....don't I KNOW it...still recovering from the wave over the bonnet surprisingly the air filter and box were pretty dry after the swim. The ruts were deep but the dip and wave occured after stumbling over a log and taking a bit of a nose dive which got the pulse racing and the need for some toilet paper : Cheers Mike

Hey guys

That trip was really good fun, thanks Beefy for the lift again, and good driving by all, it was quite funny to see the toyos and Nissans thrashing around the place and yet we had a picnic and some drinks and still got out the same time as them.

Oh-my-god!. Mate those photos are genius. I had no idea how sideways we were getting up that first climb, and it was all over in a split second, but you got it!

cheers
