Trip to the South West (27th Feb - 1st Mar)

I have posted a trip on the Terra Australis 4x4 group to the Pemberton area of the South West. This is a long weekend so it will be a two night bush camping trip, so you will need the basics for camping.

We will head to the Pemberton area and look at doing the off road track between Pemberton and Augusta.

This is a moderate track and mainly soft sand. The campsites are at Lake Jasper where we can go for a swim, kayaking and a campsite at Black Point. This track can be done in a day, so I propose we look at doing a day trip to Yeagerup Beach or Warren Beach. This is sand tracks and dunes from Pemberton to the coast.

I have limited this to 15 vehicles on the Terra Australis 4x4 group site at a first come first served policy.

If you don't feel you have enough equipment for the trip, such as cooking gear etc, let me know, I'm sure we'll have enough as a group to share stuff.

If you go to the link below and ask for joining confirmation, you can get anymore details from there, it will also make things a little easier for seeing the numbers of who wants to go.

So far, so plenty of spaces and I've no doubt places will come and go over the next two months so no need to rush to make any decisions yet

We were down that way last week , drove from East Auguta to Pemberton , stayed at Black Point and Lake Jasper , good track never used low range once (1993 110 Defender ) camp fires allowed at Lake Jasper , they provide you with the wood too, and we took our dog , but as said sign says no dogs .

Black Point

Cheers Stew
