What a fantastic day out with like minded people in the Aussie bush!

Thanks to everyone that came and made it a great day.

Big thanks to D3Jon for organising and Bully for helping out leading.

Thanks again to Bully and Rommel, as well as D3Jon for their outstanding guidance and advice in the tricky bits.

Awesome photos from everyone, especially Siska and Stew1236 who got some top shots of my car!
edit: and AussieAub for some more great shots of me.

Hey all.
Big thanks to D3Jon, Bully130, TimNZ, and Rommel (in no special order!) for making the day happen, leading, organising, keeping a check on the tail end, etc. and checking out the river first for all us wary and less experienced!

Also an extra special thanks to Bully130 for taking on child minding duties for most of the day. Holly had, in her words, "a totally awesome day in the big white LandRover", and hasn't stopped going on about how one day she wants a 130! I'll have to put a quick end to that!!

On another high point for the day, Rach has hinted at the possibility of her possibly chopping in her car for a 200/300TDi now too! Does life get any better!!

Great catching up with some old and new faces again. Was yet another fantastic, friendly, helpful, and generally enjoyable day again. Personally had great enjoyment finally seeing 2rocks out on the tracks. Onya mate!

WA-AULROians rock!!

Our pics taken on the day can be found here:

AULRO 2007-02-07 Moore River Trip

Mainly taken by Rach and whitakerB for the downhill shots towards the end (thanks Ben, and also for the silicon "fix"!).
If anyone wants bigger originals emailing, just drop me a PM.

And please, nobody ever mention compressors to me, EVER again....!!

Cheers,

Big thanks!

As many have said before me, thanks to Jon & everyone else that helped out on the day! Had a fantastic time, great bunch of like minded people.

Just the one photo for now (im at work, will try upload some more tonight). Seems that using the AULRO gallery/upload has reduced the image quality a fair bit.. I'll re-upload it later.

EDIT - image removed, see next post.

A big thanks from me also for letting me come on such a well organised and managed trip.

As a first ever proper trip you could not ask for such a smooth and rewarding day.

Had a great time meeting up with people and seeing other vehicles doing what they do best.

I even surprised myself and my vehicle in some areas and all of the pictures are great.

There are way more thankyous than names I can remember, but cheers for the lend of the Radio, Matpoli for the series advice Ian and Mike for the newbie hints and tips and Jon for organising.

p.s. 60mph is like light speed in a IIa, that little rip on my soft top that I must have picked up literally tore the soft top in half on the way home!!!

lucky it was on its last legs, brand new one currently sitting gin its place.

Hey Cliffy - 88" say no more

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great day out.

21 cars was a massive turn-out, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did! It was great to see a good mix of new faces and old alike.

Special thanks to Ian, Tim & Rommel for their assistance with leading, recceing and tail-end Charlie duties - the trip would have been a lot less coordinated without your invaluable assistance.

Got a few pictures which I'll upload later, I had a few issues getting them off a corrupt CF card, but all sorted now.

Jon

Cheers mate!
It was fantastic to finally make it and I had a blast! And...everything still works so the tide has turned!

On top of which, Mat & Jamie's Series have got me thinking...and I know where there's an SIII wagon just "resting" in someone's front yard...
Cheers
Mike
