Radiator repair warning

For those who have not seen my post on the P38 section..........

off Dixon Road Rockingham Butchered my Rad, breaking the expansion tank outlet, destroying the clamp plates, leaving ripped sections at the ends, damaging the top edges of the seal area then telling me they cant get the spares. BE WARNED.
Thankfully Express Rads have second hand bits as they repair many and can salvage the situation for a very reasonable fee.

Roger, Disco WA, Thanks for the pointer to Express Radiators in Welshpool. As you recommended they are obviously experts in all types of Land Rover Rads + have spare parts and hopefully have saved me a packet.

Still hoping to make the trip but because the radiator to header tank outlet was broken the hoped for repair cannot be done so am awaiting a sparkling new rad from England.

Well I would have hoped A radiator repair skill was not exactly specific to one car or model and a big workshop thats been established for many years would know their limitations plus not butcher a perfectly serviceable unit . As a foreigner in a strange land I am learning fast. Cowboys are everywhere.

Well as the saying goes.....
Experience is mostly gained after you really needed it.
