Ring Castro direct there in Welshpool and will get it for you

Address: 543 Abernethy Rd, Kewdale, WA, 6105
Phone number: (08) 92689288

If not any repco or supercheap will get it in

Or give Alan or Larry a call at Armadale auto parts 9495 1932

Find your nearest Castrol Depot (often a BP Depot) and I can almost guarantee they will have it and be the cheapest.

Otherwise you should be able to get it at Supercheap, Repco etc but potentially twice the price.

That's expensive. You sure they didn't quote you the price of Syntrax? Last time I bought Syntrax it was $19/L from a Castrol distributor. A friend bought Syntrans recently and I'm sure he only paid about $10-12/L.

Syntrax is a synthetic replacement for EPX and is used in the Puma transfer case but can also go in diff's.

I'm not sure if you are aware, the R380's recommend oil is Texaco MTF94.

I know for a fact that Southern Landrover stock it, I'm assuming any Landrover dealer will as well.

Yep, most of us are aware of this, but try and get it outside of people with current stocks. Last I heard (Caltex, were no longer supplying it as they are the Texaco distributor). Try anywhere outside of a city and you will just get blank stares. I tried for ages and could not even get the distributor to agree to freight some up. Hence why people are turning to Syntrans, VMX and Pentrite.
Also I believe LR have changed their specs and no longer recommend MTF94, can anyone confirm this??

Add to that - I have been very impressed with syntrans, and I personally would run it even if MTF94 were available.
