Are you running standard 101 rims on your 101?? If not what are they??
When you had to grind off 5 or 6mm off the calipers - where on the caliper was that - in the center to reduce the overall diameter of the brake system or on the edges to clear the rims.
Also did you use the 1/4" spacer provided with the disks - (please no discussion on the legality of spacers as we already know the answer) - this is a technical question as the use of the spacer may negate the need to grind the calipers. Not likely to be an issue with my Mach 6 wheels but if I put the originals back on for shows etc it may be an issue.

Hi Garry. I had my wheel centers knocked out and 8 inch rims welded back.
I now run 285 x 75 x 16 tyres which you can get anywhere.
The grinding of the calipers is no big deel, although it sounds bad, its to get over the oil filler flang when bolting it on. it's in the top center edge of the caliper.
The spacers replace the thickness of the original drum.

Thanks Gary - that confirms what 101 Ron found in his tutorial on the other 101 Disk Brake thread. At the time I put up my post I did not appreciate that the spacers were to make up for lack of thickness from removing the drums - the spacers just bring things back normal so "legality" should not be an issue.

I came across this guy's utube videos just last week. It would be well worth while to have a look at them. His component choice may not be everyones cup of tea (toyota mechanicals) but the thought and work he has put into it is just amazing. The oka dual cab module actually works not too badly I think.
I commented to enquire how much it might weigh but have not got a response.
