    24v 101 Water Pump Belt

Does anyone know a generic part number that may appear in parts books at Repco/SuperCheap for the water pump belt on a 24v 101. The belt only runs the water pump and has an idle pulley just above the crankshaft.

The Landrover part number is 613808 and I already know this number is no use buying a belt as it does not appear in any of the parts books carried by suppliers. Unfortunately I do not have a sample to match it too.

    Thanks

Take the belt off and take it down a good automotive parts supplier, tractor specialist or industral supplier who will with a special measuring stick , measure the old belt and get a new A or 11A section belt of the correct size out of stock.
Does Canberra have a clark rubber store ?.......as they usually have A sections belt in stock.

My service records show my 101s fan belt is a 11A0950.
I do not know if my fan drive is standard without crawling under the thing, as you know I have a few extras driven in the engine bay.
11A is the cross section width in mls and the 0950 is the length in mls.

PS try and get Bosch or a long life type / brand belt as it hard work to replace them all.

I do not have an old belt - that noise I could hear on the way back from Abercrombie was the rear bearings in the secondary 12v alternator failing. I want a belt to run the water pump just as the 24v 101s had as originally built until I sort out the alternative. My main 24v alternator runs off two belts that do not run anything else.

I think the number belt you have given me will be too long.

    Gary,

I've just been rolling around under the 101 in what smells like dried cat pee. I didn't do this for fun. There was a result. I can confirm the length of the belt in question is indeed 950mm.
Next time, do me a favour, believe Ron.

    regards
    Mick

I always believe what Ron tells me - but as he said his is modified in that area. A standard 12v 101 has one fan belt but a 24v 101 has 3 belts.

I will get a piece of string and wrap it around and if it comes close to 950mm I will get one that size.

    Thanks

Both mine are the Aust. delivered 24V and are relatively original around the motor and electrical systems. They both have three belts (2 for the alternator and one for the water pump). I'm tipping you will confirm this size.
Useful post though. I'll buy a couple on the weekend for spares.
What size are the alternator belts?

Good boys - just measured with a piece of string and came out as 950mm

I do not know what size the alternator belts are but I just measured an old one and it is about 1370mm.

The markings on the old belt are B155 - 9530 Gates Green Stripe XL

Thanks for to Ron and Mick for your help.
