further to this (good eyes Sprint), could it be part of the mechanical fuel shut off for the injecter pump ?

Thermo sensor goes in at the back of the water pump, drivers side, near the thermostat housing. From memory, the actual entry point is a bit more concealed down the side, and tucked in.
    Thank you...

Would that be just the one thermostat??? ( as i have 2 )

The cold start is a hang over from the original 6 cyl petrol. I'm also guessing that the other items are also from previous 6cyl fittings but the images lack a little clarity.

You have to remember that the firewall is a 4cyl normal control firewall with a few rivnuts for the body panels outside the bonnet and a couple of added holes for the steering column through the footwell. While there is no clutch slave cylinder in that location in a F/C, there is one in the 4 cyl normal control, so the plug remains.

The arrowed items seem to be some sort of bowden cable, One of my FC (a fire engine) had a PTO operating cable coming out of the seatbox below the drivers seat. I'm wondering if this could be something similar or even something to do with the fire pump controls. Have you followed the outer to it's other end to see what it connects to?

The fuel bowl is a standard AC paper filter type, it was OEM for the six cyl, it lives on the inside of the chassis usually bolted to one of the stirrups that support the upper chassis rail beside the gearbox on the drivers side, just forward of that should have been the bracket to the double ended SU electric fuel pump.

Addit: I can't see the linkage for the hand-brake! This is usually a length of 3/8" round bar and should be in that area, running from the hand-brake lever in the seat box to the relay lever adjacent and in front of the hand-brake drum. Could it be that they have replaced the round bar with a bowden cable?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts on these bits, iam sure they will be more...

The item arrowed with the clevis ended rod is for the hand throttle, it went to a replay on the 6Cyl, and allowed the engine speed to be set from the back. Marine quality and origin.

Its useless at the moment but i will need it fixing ( where i have nio idea ) if iam to use the pump.

Cold Start, went to the carb, as pointed out...already
