For comparison, parked next to a 101 (AJ's I think).
One day I'll start a thread, but need to finish the house first, and build a garage...
Until then, I am watching with interest (and some degree of jealousy) the excellent work you guys put in.
    Ian.
Yep. That's AJ's. Back when the front bumper was more complete.

Nice Volvo. Please start a thread on it.
Bring it up to Corowa next year.

Well, so do I nominate for a 101Club committee position?

    Thoughts?

(for those without access to 101 forum, the treasurer and others are pretty fired up with the colonials complaining about perceived favouritism of UK members over locals, but have suggested we could have "remote" or O/S committee members as they never have committee meetings anyway!)

    P.S. they love mick <3

Yeah, Mick is a favourite there isn't he.. But, all he has done is point out some legitimate points that some didn't like to hear too much. I haven't seen that person post in the last 24 hours so maybe he blew a gasket and retired to lick his wounds.

If you're up for helping out and being on the committee, go for it mate. At this stage I'm not planning on renewing my membership for reasons I've listed there, but who knows, I could change my mind if some balance is bought into the equation.

I am a bit heartened that there are some there that seem to have taken the messages put forward and are looking to work on a solution. I hope they can sort something out.

    All the best - Gav.

    All sorts of fun mate.

Not sure if it would be right or legal to copy some of the posts, so lets just say things have been a bit heated at times by certain people - not so much from our side of the pond - well maybe a bit, but Mick's posts and replies to others rants have been calm, well thought out and intelligent - everything the other persons wasn't...

Actually, I'm quite enjoying stirring that one person up. He deserves it. He was way out of line and from the PM's I've been getting from there, many others in the club have come to the same conclusion.

Couldn't care less . They were not interested in our views a while back and only seem so now because they are having a few issues.

Not really. Just another spat about spare parts.
The forum is full of them.

Actually, it wasn't really about spare parts. It was more about the dysfunctionality of the club/forum caused by lack of communication.
A new member inquired about when a listed spare part that was out of stock will be in stock.
It was then answered by people who hold office in the club with "I want some too" and "get series ones, drill, tap and engrave them".
Although helpful, did not answer the question so the new member asked again. This appeared to put a few noses out of joint so the member had to defend his enquiry.
Then the new member was told the person to ask was almost uncontactable.
Now getting a little annoyed because he can't get spares which he joined the club to get, the new member pointed out the dysfunctionality should be improved.
A committee member then pointed him to the "online parts shop". Not good advice as the new member is an overseas member and the "online parts shop" does not accept overseas orders.
Then a Member advised the new member he should try other suppliers (in a nice way) and acknowledged some of the membership appeared to be "grumpy old men". One of the previous postees protested "I'm not old" at which point I told my joke.
    Things went downhill from there.
It went on for another two pages of posts. All in all, it took up four pages of a six page thread. Impressive.
