Another 101 and 101 parts supplier in the UK..

Hi guys. Whilst perusing the 101 UK forum I found a link to this company who seem to have a reasonable amount of spares. Might be worth looking into.. They are called N K Recovery Services. They 'specialise' in 101's and parts for 101's. have a few other 'nice to have's' as well... Still not got my head around attaching a link on here so here's a screen shot of their 101 page!

Here is the link N K Recovery Services, Land Rover Parts and MOD spares, recovery, generator, vehicle and trailer hire.
I have used Nick a couple of times for parts. Friendly service and no issues.
    regards
    Andrew

Ok, things have progressed. I'll be starting a new thread soon and it will be a sticky, so it will always be there to see.

I will start it out similar to what Stuee suggested in an earlier post. My thoughts are - to keep it just to the info required - is that there be minimal posts in the new thread, and all the information and links in just a few posts so we don't get back into a situation that you can't find anything you are looking for.

To this end I was thinking that as things are needed to be added, amended, a new idea or though for that thread that it is posted as a reply, and I'll update, add etc this detail to the main posts and then move here or delete that reply. That or you can PM stuff and I can just update it from there.

Does this sound like a workable start? Remembering that it won't be my thread, but an accumulation of all our ideas and thoughts.

I just don't want it to get so big and messy that we loose what we were looking for in the start. If it becomes a free for all and we end up with 100 posts, we will again be looking for a way to rationalise things.

I'll make a start on it and we can make it up as we go along.

Just to add a quick note that if you hadn't noticed that I am now a Mod for this and a couple of other forums here, so sing out if you need a hand with anything - I am here to help.

    Cheers - Gav.

    Thanks Gav,
Nice work. Great to have a sticky as a receptacle of all things 101.

I would like to leave this thread running as a chat area. It's good to have somewhere to post general 101 chit chat without having to graffiti on others threads. (Especially if your 101 knowledge is a bit slim )

You're the mod now so I will leave that in your hands.

On another note I have had contact from 101 Club in UK and they have sent me rules etc. It is interesting to see the "club" is not really a "club" as we would know it. There appears little requirements as one would see (and I have seen) here in Aus - Incorporation, Insurance, Meetings, AGM's , minutes of meetings, conduct of meetings etc. I find it quite interesting.

Nonetheless I have offered them my services, and I will be hoping to form a conduit for Aus....maybe AUS/NZ or maybe even AUS/SE ASIA/Pacific section wiithin the UK Club. Maybe just a pipe dream but I will give it a go. My aim is to become a Ordinary Committee member. We'll see what happens. Not sure they realise how serious I am

I'll try to keep posting here (who knows who's reading this ) to keep the aulro 101 owners abreast of matters.

Who knows, I may even be able to get a few to join (re-join) ......(don't answer that Garry!)

I'm not going to get heavy handed by any means- I'm here to help and make sure this forum is what everyone wants it to be and to encourage usage and ideas to make it even better. I'll let everything run its course here - this is a nice easy forum with pleasant people. This thread is a good spot - as you mentioned - for off topic tid bits that come along now and then.
