Title says it all really. I am looking for some green paint to match my 101 - see pic below (not the best one but the only one I have on my ipad ATM) I looked through the 101 club forum for the answer but there is a lot of conflicting info there. I thought I'd try for some fresh info here.
I don't really want to paint the whole thing (yet) but I would love to touch up some areas that are a bit tatty.
Any advice appreciated.

Ever get the feeling you're being stalked.
You have more pics of my 101 than I do...![]()

I'd been wanting to buy it longer than you.
You are not going to get a good match up of paint as your old paint has faded.
My 101 is due for new paint and I have the same problem.
I am thinking just painting it one colour and a semi gloss or with enamel harder so the new paint will not fade or oxidise and so will be easy to touch up.
Protec paint colours used by the aust army are
Camoflage Green
Flat black
Pilbera Brown
I think the paint series is 304 enamel
On my stalwart I am using the Camo green with enamel harder added to seal the paint, quicken drying times and give it more shine.
Hmm - yeah I hadn't thought about the fading... The paint isnt as ancient as most though - it only got its camo after entering civilian life, as it sat in a store its whole service life and was never issued for use. It is clear that there is only one coat of paint over the original factory paint.
That still means the paint job is probably around 12 years old at least, so maybe I should bite the bullet and paint the whole thing...

I'm a little confused.
Is the 101 an ex-Brit unit or an ex-Aussie one?
The reason I ask is the presence of the AS-1729 and mounts on the side, both of which are Aussie yet the bar has the Union Flag and the camo scheme both of which are Brit.
The British Army usually used NATO Green, although there is a similar colour Land Rover MoD Green used around the same time. AFAIK it is the original colour of the Aussie SIII.
ADDIT: The Land Rover MoD Green or maybe Land Rover MoD Camouflage Green is in the list of acryllic paints in the Protec catalogue and is the reason why my SIII FFR is painted the colour it is.
The Protec paints as per Rons post should be:
I think you will find that Pilbara brown is the reddish colour on the Pilbara Regiment vehicles. Camouflage Pilbara Brown (342-5239)
- Camouflage green (342-1166)
- Camouflage brown (AusCam tan) (342-5265)
- Camouflage black (342-7165)

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
It is ex Brit Diana. The PO added the antennas. The VHF antennas and mounts are now off the vehicle for the time being, and the HF & UHF antennas have been moved to the opposite side as I have an awning on the drivers side at the moment.
