You might be right there?
Can't say I've ever had a diesel running on WD40, it doesn't burn well enough or a start.
Easystart isn't a permenant solution, but I have found that easystart can be a useful 'tool' for getting awkwar engines to bleed bleed everything through and run on their own fuel, if nothing else it'll be doing at least twice the speed the starter can turn it at, and for a lot longer.
If you can have an assistant handy they leave a couple of the pipes cracked -one on each bank perhaps- and split the jobs between yourselves.
One of you needs to hold the throttle right open, and have a spanner handy for the injector pipes, whilst the other controls the starter and the easystart. It'll either have it running like a sweetie, or pronounced a complete dud.
Pull the air pipe after the turbo and spray it in there.
I've just realised how terrible a play on words my comment about the WD40 was, that deserves a groan at very least...
