How many turns of the crank to wind it up Tom, Or do you do it with a battery drill?

I'm not sure Don how many cranks - I haven't seen it in person yet! Doh - living in Lockdown and my vehicle is someplace else, and I can't get to it... Oh well - soon.

It looks very low geared to me, so the drill might be the answer

For the amount of times it may get used, would you really need a drill though? It’s a 30:1 winch with a single snatch block so 60:1. Of it took a minute or so to lower or raise it, once a year or so, that’s not a big deal IMO and not worth carrying a powered tool to use it. If it was a stabiliser, etc that was used every time you pulled up, that would be different.

Depends if you were using the table for your wine and bikkies every afternoon...

    Nearly There

So Murray has been in contact and the 101 is very nearly finished... Some pics:

The carrier for the gas bottle broke a few years ago - so some bracing has been added. It's a much stronger design now.

The underside of one of the spare wheel carriers:

    Look Ma - no hands!

    Cheers,
    GG.

Good to see this is progressing well. We like those steps and the stainless tables behind the spare wheels. Some thought has gone into that!
