I am with Ron on this - is hiding an issue within the main cooling system. However if this fixes the issue - then fine - how is your viscous fan on the water pump, still working Ok - after the mods you have done is the radiator shroud correct for the new radiator etc and ensuring the fan is sucking air through the main radiator and not around it.
What is that fan I can see in the pics and what is that aluminium tank?

There is no viscous fan. There is an aluminium radiator that has a bigger core than the standard rad, using the original shroud. The original rad was replaced when the fan blades went bang, and through it. There is an electric fan behind the standard rad. The other fan you see is a second fan for the second radiator. 2 aluminium radiators, 2 electric fans, original shroud.

Ok thanks - I am sure it will fix your issue but as said there is something wrong with the original setup - most likely the single electric fan not being able to suck enough air through at the extreme temp load configurations.
But you are where you are and if this works for you that will be great.

Took the 101 camping this weekend up on the Murray at Echuca. I also took Big Red for his maiden voyage.
Stopped off at Heatcote to get petrol, and a guy was asking about the 101. Forgot to ask him his name - but he knows AULRO and Alien. He is thinking of buying a 6x6 Perentie.
Anyway - some pics.Attachment 141098Attachment 141099Attachment 141100Attachment 141101Attachment 141102Attachment 141103Attachment 141104Attachment 141105Attachment 141106Attachment 141107

Did you go to the Steam Rally?

No I didn’t attend the steam rally. Didn’t know that it was on! Had to get back home anyway.

Looks like a great day out! Awsome photos, strange headlights on the white UN series. They look like their from a Chevy pickup truck.
