Anthony Johnson has it - most 101 people will know Anthony.

There is also another Judge Dred 101 (in original bumble bee colours) down on the south coast of NSW.

I wonder what one would have to do to make it registerable?

Would it have to meet ADRs for the time they were built, circa 1993-94 (film was in 1995)?

Could it be classed as an individually constructed vehicle? http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/...d-vehicles.pdf

If the South coast of NSW one is anything to go by.
No vision, extremely poor driving position, Left hand drive.
It was about looks, for a movie and not about driving them...

Ron, I doubt it could ever be registered here at all or to do so would requite it to be bastardised so much it wouldn't be worth it - no doors for a start - only one was built with a door which was the unit used on screen that the actors got in and out of - all the others the access is by crawling under the vehicle and through a hatch in the floor. Lighting doesn't meet ADRs, as 101 Ron noted, vision is obsured in most directions and a whole host of other issues. For the money the only people that may be interested are buisnesses to use as promo vehicles - like this one has been before and many others have been repurposed like this too and trailered from site to site.

If I won tatts, yeah I buy it and put the proper paint job back on it but it will have a VERY limited market here. Might drop by AJ's and have a peak though... 😉😁👍

The south coast one was drivable in the UK .
The motor and transmission was removed before coming to Australia.
It has a difficult access drivers door and nothing on the passengers side.
As said before the drivers position is extremely poor and due to the body work design not easily corrected.
During filming only one Judge Dredd taxi moved under its own power.
The others were pushed around as required during filming.
The South coast one has rear compartment access from the LHS via lift up fibre glass door and a magnetic lock.
I am guessing some were fitted with engines by private owners after filming.
