And I thought my forward control was civilian!!

Must be the olive drab colour - guess I'll have to add some tac plates and gardening tools.

    G'day Diana

If it is Military either Aust or otherwise it will have a Nomenclature plate fixed to it somewhere, either in the cab or in the engine compartment, or the 4 holes where it was fixed on (usually screwed on similar to 2a's it will be on a non-removable structure.

    cheers

No it's not military just a fantasy of the previous owner. It was used by a mining company in it's original grey colour (with dayglo orange cab roof) then re-painted by the 2nd owner.

    Cheers

P.S. Given that they are like big Meccano sets, what part of the series Land Rover is non-removable.

    WL

It is still in the shed although I have started doing some of the required maintenance, it has a reconditioned radiator, spring bushes replaced and tie rod ends. Am taking down a kit for the steering relay on the weekend and have been re-painting the tray body, sufficient for it to be registered.

The big problem, after doing the manditory oil and filter change and radiator flush, new set of plugs etc. I started the engine and the rings have gone so it needs an engine overhaul or swap. The most likely will be a swap as I have a reco'ed Rover engine that only needs the head, sump etc fitted up. The issue is time before Cooma and also the finalisation of my 1951 project.

More pics when I take it out of the shed.

    Cheers
    Diana
