Ongoing learning with F360 is great, enjoying the new skills and unleashed creativity

    M-lock rail system early design

And in the short term, whilst a new bag rider is being made for the front rest I needed a slide for the fore end of the rifle - so threw this one together

The bottom pic is a front rifle rest for use at the range, there is supposed to be a soft bag there, retained by alloy.

Unfortunately during the machining, the touch tool had an electrical issue and collided with the workpiece. A new tool was flown out from the USA but couldn’t get the part made in time for my club shoot, so I just printed one up to get me through yesterday!

Will be PETG for testing, followed by machining in friends CNC in Alloy if successful.

Those nubs are M-lock rail mounts - only about 2mm thick
