Which in the short terms is what I’ll go for.
I have a Milford in an 07 Puma - plus a home made false floor across the wheel arches with tie downs and a luggage net. The milford is excellent as it is near vertical and it really maximizes the load area. Fire extinguisher, first aid kit and Michelles Sacs canvas barrier bag for oddes and ends on the barrier.
Steve British Army do this. They have the frame of the cargo barrier with hooks all around which the netting hooks into. Have no pics but have seen it in various cars. I think the netting may be elasticated...Quote:

Yeah... my Milford was $739 fitted to an 09 Puma last year in Adelaide. However that included mounts for both front and rear installations. I currently have it fitted behind the rear seats but it easily removes and fits behind the front seats without tools. From the autosafe website it would appear that you have to choose either the front installation OR the rear installation as the cargo barrier is different for each installation.
The Milford was expensive and I'm sure you could easily make something if you are handy at metal work or alternatively purchase the Landrover "dog barrier" from OS for about half the price. However, I got the cargo barrier because I carry small kids and heavy lumpy stuff in the same vehicle, and the Milford barrier has both an excellent build quality and an outstanding reputation in vehicle accidents.

Not mine or any body that I know, but looks okay.
Puma OEM Cargo Barrier now fitted. Nice tight fit, no movement, no contact with interior trim, no modifications required (some earlier posts mention elongating holes) and easily removed for seven seats. :clap2:I previously removed a milford from a Td5 due to the amount of slack in the fittings which meant that the top of the barrier rubbed a slot in the roof lining. It would never tighten and always rattled.
OEM option is now described as a cargo barrier, maybe due to its ECE R17 compliance, although less than Australian Standard milford. It is still a substantial safety barrier. No one in their right mind would have unrestrained large weights in the back and just rely on a cargo barrier.
Happy with fit and finish and price.
