I wouldn't have either
But in all seriousness, the joys of a late TD5, is all common problems have been seen and dealt with, so if you were to allow yourself and extra 3k after purchase at a rover specialist to "go over everything, no expense spared" or do it yourself, oil pump bolt, oil in loom, chain tensioner etc etc, not that they have many common problemsand once that's done, buy a few cable ties and saddles and spend a day in the engine bay fitting everything properly, and fit atleast a low coolant alarm, you'd get a pretty reliable unit
Oh don't forget a spare fuel pump
TPS
Crank angle sensor
