what is rong with the 4pin rears,,, iv never had a problem,, only ever front diffs,,, im on my 3rd fronf diff,, and not from wines,,:D:D it was more of a bang:(:D,, the rear has never given a prob, and its been out and i cheaked it over and it was fine,
But the Td5's never had a noise issue.Quote:

I didn't realise that the TD5 shared the same rear dif as the Puma
However if my info is correct there could be an explanation for this, I believe production of diff parts such as crown an pinions were moved to another department and it became a quality issue
The early Td5s had the regular Salisbury then they went to the Rover type diff. This carried over into the Pumas.Quote:
