Yeh, the 90 angle might be a bit heavy on the wallet. I looked at what would be required and Shonky is right - probably cost prohibative!
This British one looks the mutts nuts Land Rover Defender Pick Up Canopy - Wolf Canopy - 90, 110, 130. Might have an Aussie disdributor?

I think a series SWB cab cut down and painted up will look great if done properly. I almost wish I had a 110 D/C just so I could have a crack at it. :p

If I remember rightly (and I do, I just checked it in the parts book) the side panels from the 88 and 109 station wagon are the same. This means that the 88 hardtop (sides) will extend from the rear door on your dual cab to the back of the tray. Hence could be shortened to cover just the tray. You would have to make a front for it and shorten the roof - question would be to use the sloping bit or not.
