You'd expect the Defender version to be quite a bit cheaper, as they are flat.

I looked at one for my '98 Defer 90 back in the UK, Heated Windscreen that is. The contraption with it's wiring loom was pretty pricy, but what put me off finally was the price from the auto sparks. I'm completely snookered when it gets to electric string and all three quotes I had from auto sparks to fit the thing was almost as much as the screen and loom! Apparently bit of a job if the vehicle wasn't wired for it from day one...
Worked like a bomb on the ones at Eastnor (Winter Pack on 2009 County and SX models (UK Puma models with half leather as an option!)). I would definitely say go for it if you've got the skills!

Unfortunately the Defender draws heater air from the outside, if only it could draw drier air from inside.
It seems to fog up for up to five minutes, then once it's dried out the air around the heater, it demists fine. A/C helps by drying the air.
I tried a scoop over the heater intake to try to prevent rain falling directly into it, but that didn't help.
I read an article in an old LRO mag I was given about retro fitting a heated screen to an older Defender. They seemed pretty cheap in the UK. Rovacraft don't have any and local suppliers and the RACV were unable to source a heated screen when I asked about it a week ago.
