Before I bought my '85 County V8 I did the maths... the $10K premium I would have had to pay at the time for an Isuzu (which I would have loved to have) or the $12K premium for a Tdi buys an awful lot of fuel.Quote:

Naturally for heavy work, towing, water crossings and long distance outback trips the V8 is nowhere near as good as a diesel. But as it's my everyday vehicle most of my driving is city stuff.
Horses for courses, but the anachronistic V8 does have its place.
