They will work fine at speed.
I just looked at my Donaldson Catalogue. The swirl bowl pre-cleaners are listed in the Accessories: Off Road section. Helps extend filter life on agricultural and construction equipment. For medium to heavy dust environments. Great for off-road vehicles such as crawlers, tractors, and agricultural equipment.

I remember that on my initial Detroit Diesel Selection and Application course being cautioned against using these on highway vehicles.

If you are going to use one, calculate your maximum airflow and get one sized to this. If going on to a turbo diesel you will need to ascertain manufacturer's volumetric efficiency rating to calculate this.

OK, "Top Spin" are a new product and are not a swirl bowl pre-cleaner. No mention on-line as to application, whether they are suitable for highway speeds. You may need to clarify this with Donaldson. Engine air requirements still need to be ascertained.

My concern would be with the bulk of the item. They look to be pretty high and may be vulnerable to branches etc. Need to keep the top below roof line.
