Yes it was colour coded - I did wonder about doing it in a darker charcoal just to make it stand out, but went with the original. We fitted gas struts inside the door and I had to block up a few little holes around the door with rubber and glue that you now basically cannot see. I went down the Oodnadatta track and have ended up with little to almost no dust in the rear (surprisingly).

Possibly was, I wanted to get it right on the new vehicle.I probably could have bought the top a bit cheaper but it did have the tropical roof and all was in pretty good nick. It has been resprayed both inside and out and of course had to be all rubbed down. There ia also sealing rubber onto the tub and if you look closely, we fitted finishing strips around the front edges, gas struts, new lock etc. Also, there is full glass across the front inside as there of course was no cross plate there at all. I got a quote to have a fibreglass one made (altering a new canopy) and that was going to be 3K.:(
I think what we have is better.:)
A unique look indeed and very well done but I also had similar thoughts to Reeds90 but with the addition of why not build a solid, sealed partition/cargo barrier into a wagon - isolates cargo from personnel and probably would cost a lot less than $3500. But then a s/wagon is probably dearer than a 110 crew cab ute.Quote:
