Atlas Tanks do custom made poly tanks. Mine was around $380 +GST.
Go to www.atlastanks.com.au
They are located at Kunda Park on the Sunshine Coast North of Brisbane.
Cheers

Andrew was it you I was speaking to at Defender Day Out about this?
Is the tank baffled ?
Can't remember meeting you Vlad....I was parked down near the water next to the British Off Road crew
I just gave the measurements via Atlas's website (which if very useful)to build the tank. It has a strengthening section across the middle (on the outside), but I am unsure if it is baffled. I can't hear any water sloshing around when I am in the car driving (but with the standard 300 tdi noise...who can hear anything!!)
Cheers Andrew
I was talking to someone about it.. whats the odds I would have been having a similar conversation with someone else? My 13o wasnt parked far awawy from the BOR crew...
Looks like a great mod ilhave to look and see if i can fit one in my county if i can fit one in i will build my own tank from 316 stainless :D
Hi Andrew,
nice to see my truck here :o:D
It´s a 2009 Puma (130CC-R) though ;)
I fitted the Front Runner 62L fuel tank in there. It´s a tight fit but it´s working just fine.
Here´s the fitting of the FrontRunner tank step-by-step as published on another forum....
So long,Quote:
The new Defenders have the same box underneath the rear seats and Frontrunner was the only manufacturer that I could find who currently offers a tank that fits exactly inside.
It´s a pretty quick installation, too (once you have the tank).
Take out the rear seats and the box...

....Marc had used his box as storage before, too....

...after positioning the tank you make the rear cutout for the feed to the original tank...

...place it...

...and put the cover back on...

...into which you have already made the cutout for the filler and breather....

...with all that done and the box screwed back in place (it´s a very tight fit, which guarantees the tank is not going to move. It´s screwed down by two M8 bolts on either side, too) you make the cutout into the rear side...

...and last, take out the original tank to drill a hole and install the feeder plug. Then replace the tank and connect the auxilliary tank with the original tank...

In addition, we also extended the original breather tube and placed it higher up.
Ready to go.

Hi, I cut out the top of mine and fitted a deep cycle aux battery there under the seat as well as tools and spares. Did not worry about a lid. Can retrieve tools etc without tilting the seats. Cheers.
