    Puma 130 rear seat box

Has anyone modded the rear seat box of a Puma 130 yet.

Am thinking of a lockable hinged flap from the side/front to be used as storage.

If so pics would be great.

No it doesn't and I didn't think the Td5 had either.

I know there is at least one Puma with a box fitted getting around in South Australia but don't have any details.

hmmm well our's has the removeable top like every other 130 defender I have seen...a latch at each end, top comes off and you can fit all youre spare parts in there for a long trip...our seats are usually removed for a long trip anyway so easy access

Unfortunately Mrs HH it's one big box with no openings, but it sounds hollow. I was wondering if I could shove a fuel tank in there, but a big parts and pole box could be good.

well next time you see us have a look at ours didn't realize they dropped the opening in the top, wouldn't be to much hassle to change I would suspect

I had a water bladder made to measure for the storage area, with the filler located under the single fold up seat. I guess you could stick a fuel tank / bladder in there also.

Yep...you can squeeze a 60 litre water tank in there.....I have just done so. My 300Tdi has a an opening on the top of the box.

Here are some pics I found on another forum, but gives you an idea. This is from a TD5

    Cheers

wow that's looks like it would make a good fuel tank as well perhaps. Front Runner do one apparently, but I'm having troubles finding out more details.

Where did you pick it up and how much if you don't mind.
