    Question Puma 40,000km service cost

Just been quoted $1,076 for the 40,000 service from the dealer. Holy snappin' duck ****. Must be with the solid gold filter set.

I know its a big one but what have you blokes paid for the 40,000, 60,000 services etc?

For comparison sake, I got a quote for a 45,000km service on my 2009 3.2ltr diesel Triton earlier this week - $1,000.

Sounds right, very important to have this interval done right as all trans oils etc should be changed.

    Hi Guys.
When i had the 40 000 km service done on my Puma i was quoted a similar price.I took it to out local mechanic ( instead of travelling a 200km round trip and an entire day off) and they did it for half the price. I took in the service schedual of what had to be done and changed and they did all of that and a bit more.Signed off on all the documentation and only lost half of they day. They started when i arrived and had tradesman instead of apprentices do the work. Nothing against apprentices but have found with closest dealer that the work can be a little bit less than desired as there seems to be little supervision.
All minor services are done by the dealer.

$515 all up at MR in Redcliffe. The dealer's original quote was $900+, but when I said I was thinking of going elsewhere they said they could do it for $700-ish. Just goes to show how much fat must be in these costs.

Free Servicing so dont know how much it cost, in fact they never gave me the report which they usualy do so cant even look how much it should have been, will need to ask for that just in case they are hiding it from me..
