Channel 20. The Land Rover Channel.
Full marks on this one !!
What great idea.
Channel 20 seem to be the one - Got my vote.
Cheers
Hi All
My thoughts are to stick with channel 10 for the moment, extra channels are on their way (80), so trying for another quiet channel with the current line up is a bit wishful at the present. :(
By all means nominate a clear channel on the day for a group chatter channel, but dont forget that with channel 10 now being accepted Aust wide for fourwheel drive trips it does give a extra margin for safety, especially when driving tracks towards each other.
Im am at the present fitting a new Icom transceiver into the defender, that I didn't get time to have working before the last trip, this should be a change to the batteries running out of puff on the handheld's. :)
Cheers Arthur from Tassie

I go for Ch10, because that is where my radio sits, being the channel used by LRC-ACT. Given the move to 80 channels sometime early in 2011, we will no doubt make a change, or some of the current users of our channel 10 will, we hope!
20 Sounds good to me.:)
Chn 10 is a nightmare it is to busy.
Yes, it (10) is generally the nominate channel for most off road destinations EG : Simpson, Cape York.....
BUT, correct me if I am wrong - we are looking for a channel that AULRO members can communicate with each other on, are we not ????
I would assume (there's that word) if you spot another LR, you could switch to "20" and have a quick chat... yes ?....No...?
Channel "20" lets stick with that !
Have sent a message to the "god's" of AULRO, umm maybe to strong a word there;)..to the admins of AULRO, and asked, see what happens, if all else fails when we are campng next I will ask nicely;):,
