X2 a few years ago now. D2a coming off a lease thought it was too good to pass up. Had heard a lot of good things about the Td5 but I could not let go of the defender 300Tdi. The D2 is the daily driver and defender is the big boys toy now. Defender still puts a smile on my face despite the little things that people know about and love and sometimes referred to as character.

Wife has her own (non LR), insurance and rego time make you rethink however we still have them all. If anything goes it will be the D2 before it is worth nothing.

As an aside, I will never understand why Land Rover moved the rear seat forward and upward in the 110 in about 1989. As a result, the leg room in the back is poor and tall adults are in danger of hitting their heads on the roof.

Regarding the seats, it's a Defender can't you just move them back, although I rather suspect the internal width of the Defender is an issue.

I always wanted to put a Defender skin on a Rangie/Disco body keeping the Disco windows and screen and modifying the Defender roof to fit the Disco width.

I bought the 110 Defender so that they could come away with us....but going bush is now not regarded as a cool thing to do due to lack of access to Facebook. :mad:
