Call me soft, but not a traitor.

Due to my kids out growing the back seat of the Defender, I have upgraded (or downgraded depending on your view) to a Discovery 2.

They're happy with the extra leg room & comfort so will have no excuse not to come away with us some more!

The Defender doesn't get picked up till Friday, & I'm already missing it.

Nice looking defender. What's that ugly looking thing in the background of the pic though?

As an aside, I will never understand why Land Rover moved the rear seat forward and upward in the 110 in about 1989. As a result, the leg room in the back is poor and tall adults are in danger of hitting their heads on the roof.

    Mark,

There's a Land Rover to choose for every stage in life...the kids will get sick of hanging around eventually and then you can buy another Defender.

Lovely matching pair. Pity you couldn't have kept the Defender.

Where did you get the D2?

That's the difference between a 110 and 130, the latter has more leg room, so I have been told

anyway you will buy anoyher one, one day

It was a cunning plan to get the grown up children to leave home.

I did the same last year, but I kept the Defender. I was going to buy a new Defender, but thought for the price of a new one, I could have two used ones, so we became a two car family for the first time in ten years. I really like the D2, it is nearly as good off road but I get worried about scraping where I don't worry in the Defender. It also has a bit less luggage space, but more passenger space. There is also a lot of little things the Disco has that should be on the Defender, like tie down points and a second power outlet in the back, a delay for the wipers until the squirter has wet the screen, door and roof pockets.

    Enjoy

    Jeff

I would have liked to have both, but couldn't justify 4 regos (including the 80" on club plates). My wife has an Astra which is handy, & our eldest will be learning to drive in 12 months time so it had to stay to be the 'learner' car.
