looking good, i love the look of those bars as its so close to standard but just looks that much more solid and secure.

do you still have to cut away the grill in order to fit a winch?

thanks for tip re washers and extended bolts

For info, it's the bottom bolts that are replaced. I bought a pack of 2 x M10 150mm (1.5 thread) stainless bolts with nuts+washers and 16x extra stainless washers from bunnings. I had 18 washers in total and 4 were left over after fitting.

    Couple of extra tips:

    • if you have them, re-use the delivery / transport tie down eyes (which are equivalent of 4 x washers stacked)
    • you DO NOT have to remove the grill at all, just push bolt up into avail space from underneath the grill
    • the bar is not that heavy! rest it on and line up the top bolts which will drop down themselves once its aligned
    • use your old bolts to line up your washers used as spacers before inserting the new extended bolts
    • do the bottom bolts up first! (learnt that the hard way )

looks like grill will need cutting to fit the winch, or new grill

    Nice looking unit!

I reckon the Front Runner style alloy steering guard is a must with that winch bar. I'm not sure if the FR one will fit, but the tubular arrangement is so "slim" that a steering guard will go well with it.

Looks like the OEM tube has taken a bit of a beating already!
