problem solved
it was a dodgey fuse #3 5 amp
i did notice that the fuse listing on the back of the panel and the list in the booklet were different
the book has fuse #5 as a 10 amp
the panel in the car says it is a 15 amp
whats it say in the manual?
thanks agian
Awesome!! Good to hear. :D Had me worried as i've got a 2003 but the rave cd is for 1999 Td5. Surely the td5 wiring is all the same for the different year models and fuse locations? Can anyone confirm this. After i saw your previous post i went out to my car and pulled off the fire wall fuse panel cover and also found that it starts at fuse 8 and through to 36?? Where is 1-7 then? passenger compartment???? I'd read that the 300tdi has fuses under the passenger seat but none in mine when i installed the Dual batteries even though listed in the rave manual.....;). Drivers side ecm compartment does not contain them either.
Well good to hear you saved a trip to the Auto electrician and money. Got there in the end. Good one for next time.
the cd manual does not show any fuse locations!! I'd be sticking to your handbook supplied manual for locations and size
Peril's a MY03 110 and there are (6 or 7) fuses under the driver's seat along with relays, the ABS module and the ECU. Don't know about other models.
