+1 for Numpty's comment, I have the rhino bars on 2 landies - IIA and 130 - and they are scalloped out to fit perfectly, one of the sets came off my County (with the alpine windows). I can also fit them to the disco by using a small spacer that lifts the bar about 10mm from the leg.

    I recommend the rhino's, YMMV.

    Cheers,

    Roof Bars

I am looking to use three bars to support my tent. The suppliers only call for two but I feel more secure with three. I am not sure of the location at this stage as they will have to line up with the underside frame of the tent. This is to allow attachment via bolting to racks or screwing onto racks. My preference is to bolt with nylock nuts so it does not escape during ruff work. Any advice on bolts or screws??

Definitely not screws - you are right about bolts and nylocks I think (that what I would be doing). Does the tent not have some kind of attachement system?

I was told the Rhino bars have a slot in the top that will take a captive nut arrangement (at least that was the reason my tent manufacturer said they preferred Rhino).

So you should be able to just bolt through into those..

Rola make an equivalent to the Rhino. Roughly the same price. And they fit over the alpine windows.
