Depends what you like I guess. I prefer a sharply defined cutoff on low beam.

Ditto. Adjusted correctly they are safer for other road users and safe to drive with. My pet hate is FOG LAMPS on when there is NO FOG and Bloody HID converted poorly diffused non self levelling lamps.
I prefer the Factory Wipac lamps by the way, cheap and very good lenses.

Anyone with HID fitted to standard reflectors should be pulled over and bashed, they are dazzling and terrible for every other road user

I just have Hella reflectors and 100/130W I find excellent

Amen to that ! - it exists already, as the Japanese standard... On low beam its a slightly droopy 'straight' line across, more even, and much less dazzle for the poor unfortunate in the kerb-side lane is you're in the RH lane(s).

    - The Wife's imported Mazda has this beam, and yes, its easier on other folk- plus I prefer the more gentle gradation to darkness...

Don't start me on drivers who insist on lighting up their "Onanistic" lamps, night OR day...

    Grumpy James rants again!

I was driving behind an Audi tongiht obviously had its fog lights on because it had it's high intensity tail lights on too and they were bloody distracting and annoying !

    Back to Deefer headlamps...

Just want basic glass lights with rubber seal that I can put some Phillips bulbs in.
What, how much and where ?

I stuck with Wipac after all and they seem OK.

Anyway the 2 hour instal took me all weekend becuase i first had to decipher and gradually remove the spider web of doom that was the previous owners doing!

Instructions were easy to follow even for someone as hopeless as me.
