I can relate. Yesterday I drove my 110 Defender (96 model) from Sarina straight through to the Gold Coast. Filled up at Camilla and had a food and coffee stop at Benaraby. Took just a fraction under 12 hours total. What an enjoyable way to spend the day.
As my brother (who also owns a Defender) says, "even when I am driving my Landy to work, I feel like I'm on holidays".

I used to live in Mackay as a young bloke (for a few years anyway), how is the downtown Sarina going ? I one did the trip from Airlie to Brisbane in 14 hours - in a commodore. So I reckon 12 hours in the defender from Sarina is pretty good going..............:)Quote:
