    Bump!

    Steve,

Fitting mine at the moment, so the answer is 'yes'

They are quite soft compared to the existing rubber strip but I expect a much improved seal.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

so by much improved seal, you mean you can no longer get sunburnt feet from the light leaking through the seal

if i remember right mine has a rubber flap under the door? the earlier ones had them on the floor?

Thanks for letting us know... could be a nice upgrade! and cheapish too!

If I got them, then mine would fill up. I think I need the drain holes.

oh c'mon Fred... how about a bit of lateral thinking!

If you put the seals on... drill 50mm holes in the floor for drainage! easy!

Steve, I think the main improvement will be at the ends where those crappy foam blocks fill in the corner space.
Most of mine are missing and the new design flows around the corner of the door and up for a few inches.
So I am expecting a much improved seal (mainly for dust).

Plus it will be good to not look down and see the ROAD going past!

    Cheers,
    Paul.

    G'day guy's

I'm in the process of fitting these new seals now, having done some rust converting, and fish oiling to slow down the rust in the doors a bit.

The seals fitted up easily on the bottom only one hole needed drilling as it didn't line up, plus the two for the vertical returns.

My only concern is my doors won't close without a VERY firm push, the rubber is binding too much, i suspect the upright pieces on the revised seals are interfering with the other seals either side of the door frame on the body. (i hope that makes sense)

As anyone else fitted these new seals?

Should I trim a little of the rubber door frame seals?

Copba. I did not have to cut anything. Just adjust the door lock a little rather than cutting anything.

    I hope this works.

I did a small write up to try and help the guys that are unsure about these rubbers. Hope this helps someone.

    Thank's brucet,

Thats pretty much what I have done.
The drivers door is perfect, still shuts nice. But the back door is playing up, I've adjusted the catch which has helped a little. I'll have a bit more of a fiddle tomorrow.

    Cheers,

    Alistair
